Chief Now Officer
I‘m Lori Beard-Daily, the Chief Now Officer for Working on Your Now! Thank you for visiting the site! It is my hope that the site will be a place where you will find yourself visiting often. WOYN is meant to guide you, inspire you, and encourage you as you continue to move toward your direction of Working on your now! Whatever your Now looks like, you should be able to find it here.
The Working On Your Now idea came to me a few years ago. Like many women, I wear many hats. I have worked in Corporate America and have owned my own advertising and PR agency. I’ve been married for 25 years and I have three children. During my 15 year stint as an entrepreneur, my company was selected by Turner Broadcasting System Inc. to be its sole protégé in an Atlanta-based entrepreneurial program. I’ve successfully worked with c-level executives in creating brand awareness campaigns for their internal employees and led leadership and communications teams in their effort to create a more engaging and inclusive working environment for their personnel. A few of my clients have included Delta Air Lines, Cancer Treatment Centers of America, Macy’s and WestRock (previously known as RockTenn).
I’ve penned two books, Destination D and Working on Your Now. Additionally, I’ve written three plays. Two were produced in Atlanta. I’ve also been featured on 60 Minutes. My family and I were interviewed by the late Mike Wallace in a segment entitled “Going Home to the South.”My focus now is to provide women with timely resources that motivate them to take action in areas of their life that need prioritizing but often lack attention.
One of the things that I’ve learned is that it doesn’t matter what all you accomplish unless the end result brings you fulfillment.Often times, what looked like a great accomplishment to others, was not making me feel fulfilled. Fulfillment to me meant to wake up every day with the excitement of anticipation of what the day would bring. I wanted to have something to look forward to every day. So, I took some time out and thought about what that would like for me and what it would take for me to fill the void that I had.
Ironically, one day I was watching a news report with my husband about people not doing what they want to do NOW and always putting things off until later. And that’s when it hit me, I needed to start working on my Now, today! And so, here I am. My “Now” is helping women like you achieve yours! Otherwise, it’s time for you to get ready, get set, Go and start working on your now!
